In collaboration with Field Supply – Berlin | Amsterdam, we’re inviting music creators from Denmark and South Africa to apply for the One Groove Sync Residency — a four-day creative camp in Johannesburg where songwriting, storytelling and sync come together. Across the week, selected artists will co-write new music, exchange ideas across cultures, and receive practical training in creating for film, TV, brands and digital media.
The residency takes place 19–23 January 2026, concluding with an industry listening session on 23 January attended by international music supervisors, labels, publishers and creative directors. If you’re ready to grow your creative practice and explore new pathways in sync, make sure to apply soon — the deadline is 18 December.

Four Days
The Residency is an intensive, fast-moving programme designed around daily writing sessions, real sync briefs, practical learning moments, and cross-cultural exchange. Across the four days, new creative partnerships form, ideas sharpen quickly, and artists get a true feel for the pace and possibilities of sync.
A Diverse Group of Artists
The Residency brings together six music creators from Denmark and South Africa — producers, topliners, songwriters, beatmakers and artists working across genres. The group reflects a wide range of voices, perspectives and creative approaches, selected for their artistic potential, interest in sync, collaborative spirit, openness to feedback and commitment to international work.
Rotating Creative Groups
You’ll collaborate in curated writing groups that shift each day, ensuring you work with multiple partners across styles and energies. This approach mirrors real-world sync production — flexible, responsive and built on strong creative chemistry — while giving you space to explore your strengths in different settings.
Workshops & Practice
Alongside the writing sessions, you’ll take part in practical workshops on the global sync industry, pitching strategy, metadata, publishing, rights and workflow. The focus is on giving you usable tools: how briefs operate, how supervisors think and how to prepare music that’s truly sync-ready under professional time constraints.
Industry Listening Session
The final day features a panel with European and South African music supervisors, offering a direct window into how they source music and make decisions. It’s a clear, grounded look at how artists can position themselves for future opportunities — and how the music you create during the Residency can travel far beyond the week itself.
A Safe, Supportive Space
We hold a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination. You’ll work in an environment where respect, curiosity and shared access are the norm — a place where you can experiment freely and build meaningful artistic relationships.
Developed by One Groove and Field Supply, hosted by AMPD Studios and supported by The Danish Arts Foundation, DPA and Koda Kultur, the residency unites leading expertise in sync and music creation.
