What to expect

The Lowdown

6th April - 14th April 2024

DK residents will fly from CPH Airport on the 5th of April.

A safe space for artistic expression

We will not tolerate any form of hurtful language, discrimination, abuse, or insulting behavior on the grounds of gender, ethnicity, religion, background, skin color, religious belief, sexuality, gender identity, socioeconomic class, caste, disability, or age.

Kromdraai Impact and Co-creativity Hub

The camp is hosted at Kromdraai Impact and Co-creativity Hub in the magnificent nature of the World Heritage Site, Cradle of Humankind. We will work in temporary studio setups, so anticipate a unique experience of working in the rustic environment at the Hub, in close connection with nature rather than acoustically treated, soundproof, high-end studios.

The program

The program includes writing sessions, masterclasses, talks, listening sessions, and industry panel feedback. Each studio setup comprises quality audio monitors, audio interfaces, MIDI keyboards / controllers, and microphones with microphone reflection filters.

Local Community

We will engage with and contribute to the local community through a music workshop with "Ubuntu Queens,” underprivileged girls from the nearby settlement.

Additional Experiences

Kick-off at Cottonfest Joburg 6th April
