“There was nobody to go to or see as a role model when I entered the music business at 15. To make the music I wanted, I had to find my own way to bypass the generation of men occupying positions of power. That’s why my role at One Groove Academy is so important to me and a privilege—we need safe spaces and mentorship for the next generation. And it goes both ways; I learn a lot from the upcoming artists I work with.“

“The power that is Woman. It is grounded in the earth as humble as the river; it’s a champion of the birth. She lifts me high above and carries me with a strength that goes unheard. The power that is Woman Is the power of the world.” [Lyrics from Ida Kudo’s The Power That Is Woman]
